Sometimes it's fun to hit the road for a dinner destination. So, we've found a great place in Missouri that's off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Although this little house may not look like an amazing restaurant, once seated you'll find juicy steaks, fresh fish, and flavor chicken dishes that will make your mouth water.
From the outside, this little building on the Elk River may not look like much more than a bait shop. However, step though the red front door and you'll find yourself inside a lovely little steakhouse with gorgeous river views.
The dining room is full of natural light. Ask for a seat by the window so you can have views of the river and the little waterfall while you dine.
You can also sit out on the deck and relax with a cold drink. It's a great place to enjoy a class of wine before or after dinner.
Come in for lunch and enjoy a large, fresh salad. This colorful creation even comes with a homemade vinaigrette.
One of their most popular nights to come out for a meal at Haven 55 are Wednesdays when they serve prime rib. In fact, prime rib night is so popular that you need to make reservations to get a table.
Their desserts are always changing. At Haven they try to use seasonal ingredients and like to bring variety to their menu. You won't want to miss out on what they're offering.
This tranquil restaurant will blow you away with their amazing flavors. Although it's a bit off the beaten path, it's well worth a visit.
Haven 55 is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for lunch and from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. for dinner. Reservations are recommended for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
