Ha Ha Tonka State Park In Missouri Was Named One Of The 50 Most Beautiful Places In The World
We have no shortage of natural beauty in Missouri. Whittling down the list to identify the most beautiful place in Missouri is certainly not an easy task. However, Conde Nast Travel crowned Ha Ha Tonka State Park the most beautiful spot in Missouri in 2018. If you haven’t been there, you definitely must plan to go. Or, if it’s been a while, start planning your next trip.
Tucked in Camdenton, Ha Ha Tonka State Park spans 3,700 acres, brimming with an abundance of natural beauty and plenty of surprises that will take your breath away.
The expansive state park is perhaps best known for its castle ruins. Built by the Snyder family, the castle was marred by tragedy, finally burning down in 1942.
The nearly one-and-a-half-mile trail also passes by Lake of the Ozarks. However, you will have to climb more than 300 stairs — so make sure you're up to the challenge.
Do you agree that Ha Ha Tonka State Park is the most beautiful place in Missouri? Why or why not? Let us know in the comments! If you love natural beauty, you’ll definitely want to visit Grand Gulf State Park, known as Missouri’s Little Grand Canyon.
