Missouri’s got personality – and a
ton of it. That’s part of what makes it so special to live here. Some of that personality can be seen in Missouri’s rather, well, strange town names – from Peculiar to Tightwad. As you’re driving, you might also notice some rather unique, you might even say crazy street names in Missouri, too. Here are just a few of ‘em.

While it might not be a crazy name, No More Victims Road is certainly a poignant one as it pays homage to victims of all types of crimes. If you drive down the quiet street, you’ll also come across the Jefferson City Correctional Center.
2. Kangaroo Court – St. Louis
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear Kangaroo Court? The adorable, feisty animals from Down Under, or a court that doesn’t exactly follow legal standards to find someone guilty or not guilty?
3. Bobolink Drive – Florissant/Ozark
If you’re not a bird lover, you might raise an eyebrow if someone tells you to turn on Bobolink Drive in Florissant or in Ozark, Missouri. On the other hand, if you love birds, you already know what a bobolink is and looks like.
4. Candlewax Drive – Mehlville
Doesn’t the thought of candle wax make you think of a birthday cake right after you’ve blown out the candles? Candlewax Drive in Mehlville is just one charmingly-named road that’s flanked by Candleglow Road, Flame Court, and Mellowlight Drive.
5. Monopoly Drive – Florissant
You might really feel as though you’re in the popular board game when you’re driving through Florissant. From Monopoly Drive journey down Boardwalk Avenue and Ventnor Place to Atlantic Park Avenue.
6. Daiquiri Lane – St. Louis
Images of relaxation, maybe by a sandy beach, pair so well with thoughts of a daiquiri. If you’ve visiting Vineyard Apartments in St. Louis, you’ll drive down Daiquiri Lane, which leads to Bacardi Lane.
7. Christmas Valley Road – Wildwood
Stay in the holiday spirit all year around with a leisurely drive down Christmas Valley Road in Wildwood. The whole neighborhood, in fact, is all about jolly street names. Sleigh Run Drive, Yuletide Trail Road, and Shephard Road are also in the neighborhood.
