1. Treehouse Cabins at River of Life Farm – Dora, Mo.
Sleep up in the trees in these unique treehouse cabins in Dora along the North Fork. There are cabins for every type of vacation, whether you're hunting, fishing, relaxing or seeking a romantic weekend getaway.
2. Bird's Nest Lodge – Steelville, Mo.
This riverside group of cabins includes the most basic accommodations all the way up to premier modern cabins with everything you could want. Our vote for more interesting: the Al Capone, a rustic log cabin.
3. Rock Eddy Bluff Farm – Dixon, Mo.
Located on 150 acres of unspoiled nature, these cabins nestled in the Ozark hills provide unforgettable views and unique accommodations.
History buffs will love Aunt Phoebe's Perch, an 1800s-era hand-hewn log cabin.
4. Wilderness Lodge Resort – Lesterville, Mo.
There's more than two dozen cabins to choose from at Wilderness Lodge, many of which come with large stone fireplaces.
One of the most popular is Jack's Cabin, built in 1910. And no wonder: it has a spacious front porch overlooking the Black River.
5. The Cabins at Bearcat Mountain – Lesterville, Mo.
Located along the Black River, these cabins were recently hand-built. Bonus: the cabins come with access to a half-mile beach front.
6. Round Spring Retreat – Eminence, Mo.
This cabin promises complete solitude. Located 500 feet above Round Spring and the Current River, the guest house here includes a screened-in porch with stellar views of the Ozarks. It's surrounded by an 81,000-acre national park.
7. Bear Creek Lodge Bed and Breakfast – Walnut Shade, Mo.
Bear Creek offers quaint cottages on seven private acres in the Ozark mountains.
The main lodge even has a wine cellar with regular tastings!
8. Blue Jay Farm -Dixon, Mo.
Stay in an authentic log cabin on a private, 360-acre estate in the Ozarks. Breakfast showcases local ingredients.
9. Coldwater Ranch – Eminence, Mo.
Combine cabin living and wilderness horseback riding at this ranch in Eminence.
10. Dawt Mill – Tecumseh, Mo.
Dawt Mill, established in the 1860s, was turned into a lodge in the 1960s. Sleep in a log cabin, enjoy Henegar's Grist Mill Restaurant on the property (including a Chef's Table!) and take advantage of all the nature-centric activities nearby!
11. Restoration Farm – Stover, Mo.
Restoration Farm, an entirely chemical-free operation growing heirloom veggies, micro-greens, herbs and berries, has one cabin to rent.
12. Gosherd Valley Cottage – Morrison, Mo.
Spend the night on a working poultry and waterfowl farm. This isn't your typical country cabin -- the cottage here is decorated in the quaint, clean country Swedish style and has been featured on Houzz.
