Farmers markets aren’t usually associated with winter. But the Magnolia State does have a few that are open all year long. One that shouldn’t be missed is Carol’s Marketplace. The indoor market is brimming with fruits, veggies, and other locally produced goods. Take a look:
This is Carol’s Marketplace. Like most of Mississippi’s must-visit sites, it’s located in a small town.
You’ll find it at 102 E Holly Street in Ellisville, which is about 25 miles north of Hattiesburg.
Since Carol’s Marketplace is indoors and open year-round, it’s a great visit anytime – rain or shine, summer or winter.
Family owned and operated, the market specializes in local produce and other food items.
It's a great place to stock up on all your favorite fruits and veggies...
...including those of the chocolate covered variety.
But the edible goodness doesn’t end with the produce. There’s also plenty of jarred goods, including honeys, syrups, jams, jellies, and muscadine juice.
Even better, the market carries lots of goods from local merchants, so you can load up on all your favorites in one place. From Paul’s Pastry’s king cakes…
…to Sweet Daddy's kettle corn.
A one-stop-shop, Carol's also sells gifts, decor, and other unique items.
The merchandise isn't contained to the market's interior, though. A garden center stocked with beautiful plants and flowers sits right outside of the market.
