If you’re from Mississippi, chances are you’ve spent a day or two along the Ross R. Barnett Reservoir. There are several different access points and parks dotted along the shores of Mississippi’s largest drinking water resource, but if you’re looking to escape the crowds and take the path less traveled, then you should make your way over to Pelahatchie Shore Park. It’s one of my favorite parks along the reservoir, and I think you’ll love it!

Visit the Pelahatchie Shore Park website to see a map of the park. For more fun on The Rez, grab some grub at Cock of the Walk, a waterfront restaurant not far from the park with even more beautiful reservoir views.
