Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a wealth of recreational activities at Wall Doxey State Park, including one of the easiest, most scenic hikes in Mississippi. Boasting views of the water as well of native flora and fauna, the easy trek is sure to impress – despite its lack of difficulty.

A year-round oasis for outdoor lovers, Wall Doxey State Park in Holly Springs boasts a setting rich in natural beauty, along with lots of opportunities to enjoy that natural beauty.

All in all, the park encompasses roughly 750 acres. Spring Lake, a 60-acre spring-fed lake, sits at the park’s center.

In addition to camping, picnicking, disc golf, and water activities, park-goers can enjoy a scenic stroll along the park’s nature trail.

Rated as easy with minimal elevation gain, the 2.5-mile loop trail typically takes about 40 minutes to complete.

Though easy and short, the hike is practically overflowing with beautiful sights. Not only does It meander through the park’s woods, affording close-up views of native flora and fauna...

...but it features lots of waterfront views, too, since a large portion of the trail winds around Spring Lake.

Aside from one of the state’s most scenic trails, the park has another claim to fame – it’s one of the most well preserved state parks in Mississippi developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
