Fall has arrived! And with it comes beautifully colored fall leaves and some much anticipated cooler weather – two things which make getting out a whole lot more enjoyable. See for yourself by checking out these ten places in Mississippi that are even better in the fall.

1. Mississippi farmers markets are a must in the fall!
5. Just like any of the state’s wildlife refuges, the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge provides beautiful views of both fall foliage and wildlife – sights that can be better appreciated thanks to the cooler weather.
6. There’s a lot to take in at the Vicksburg National Military Cemetery, which is why the cooperative fall weather makes the season the perfect time to learn about the state and country’s history.
7. Attending one of the state’s numerous fall festivals, such as Natchez’s Great Mississippi River Balloon Race, is a great way to spend the day soaking up the gorgeous weather.
8. Tishomingo State park, just like all of Mississippi’s state parks, is even better during the fall thanks to the colorful scenery and cool, fresh air.
