When thinking of great restaurants in Mississippi, ethnic eateries probably aren’t the first thing that come to mind. However, the Magnolia State is home to several restaurants that serve up cuisine from around the world – and Mr. Greek is one of them. Take a look:
A strip mall is the last place you’d expect to find a great restaurant, but that’s exactly where you’ll find Mr. Greek.
More specifically, it’s located in Biloxi’s K Plaza on Pass Road.
A Biloxi staple, Mr. Greek has been serving up Mediterranean cuisine for over 30 years.
The restaurant’s longevity can definitely be attributed to its deliciously authentic Greek fare.
The owner of the restaurant not only grew up in Greece, but learned to cook in a Greek restaurant, so the food is as authentic as it gets.
A great choice to satisfy your hankering for a mouthwatering Mediterranean meal, the menu includes a varied selection of Greek dishes.
Dine on everything from well known dishes, such as hummus with pita bread and gyros, to some not-so-well-known dishes, like kalamarakia, which is lightly battered, tender fried squid.
But it’s not just the food that’ll transport you to the Mediterranean.
Hand-painted murals and Greek music also lend to the taverna vibe.
Between the food and the surroundings, a visit to Mr. Greek is a real feast for the senses!
Mr. Greek is open Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. For more information, call (228) 432-7888. You can also visit the Mr. Greek website or Facebook page.
