This Whimsical Ice Cream Shop Is The First Of Its Kind In Minnesota
It may not seem like it to outsiders, but Minnesotans have a great need for the cooling, sweet taste of ice cream. Our state may be known for its cold, but our summers are surprisingly humid. For that reason, the Land of 10,000 Lakes has many great ice cream shops spread throughout the state. In just about every town, you can find somewhere to grab a scoop of this sweet, cold treat. One of the most inventive ice cream shops in Minnesota opened a few years ago in St. Paul. Ever since, it’s grown steadily into a popular spot for all who love unique, delicious ice cream. The St. Paul location - and all of the others - have a quirky yet modern vibe. The ordering counter gives a full view of the staff member creating your ice cream treat.
Beyond the ordering counter, there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy your treat. There are also a few spots on the sidewalk that are great on warm days.
But what makes Wonders Ice Cream so special? This shop is known for its rolled ice cream. That is, ice milk is spread across a freezing counter, combined with ingredients, and rolled. It's the first rolled ice cream shop in Minnesota!
There are 20 official flavors to choose from, or you can create your own concoction. Toppings from fruits to syrups to cereal pieces will allow you to come up with something truly unique.
