Where do you go when you’re looking for a fun place to stay that’s a little different from a normal hotel room? If you’re like many Minnesotans, you may choose a hotel with a pool or, if you’re feeling even more extravagant, a hotel with a waterpark. But there are many other unique stays in Minnesota – train-themed hotels, treehouses, and even, as you’ll learn today, a pirate-themed Airbnb. This nautical stay in St. Paul spares no detail when it comes to creating a fun experience for guests. Next time you’re looking for something a little out of the ordinary, book a night in this whimsical Airbnb. Here’s what you need to know:
The Pirate Ship Airbnb is probably the most unique place to stay in Minnesota. It's docked on the Mississippi River in St. Paul.
The pirate ship, 65 feet long and 14 feet wide, looks and feels like a real pirate ship. It was inspired by the owner's time in the Bahamas, where real pirates once roamed the seas.
Given the ship's location on the Mississippi River, it's a great place to stay during the summer. You can't beat this view of the beautiful tree-lined Mississippi River.
The deck is a great place to relax in the sun. There is plenty of seating and table space. Though there can only be four overnight guests, the deck can accommodate up to 15 people for parties or other events.
The details continue throughout the spaces below deck. There's a unique pirate-themed element in just about every corner of the ship. Mingled among them are all the modern conveniences, like a microwave, a fridge, and a sink.
This pirate-themed Airbnb is not to be missed! It costs $350 per night, but the expense may be worth it if you love unique stays. For more information, check out the pirate ship’s Airbnb page.
