Grand Rapids Riverfest is a now-annual Minnesota music festival that’s taking place for the third year on September 9, 2023. It’s a community event with music, food vendors, and entertainment for kids of all ages. The centerpiece of it all, of course, is the live music.

While you’re in the area, be sure to take some time to explore. Grand Rapids was the birthplace of Judy Garland, and her childhood home is now part of a museum that honors her. The town is also a gateway to the Chippewa National Forest, a shimmering jewel of the North Woods dotted with more lakes than any other national forest. It’s also home to the fascinating Lost 40, a stand of massive old growth red and white pines that evaded logging. There’s an awesome riverfront rental cabin not too far from town that you may want to consider.

So, come to Grand Rapids for Riverfest, but stay to explore! Do you plan on attending this Minnesota music festival this year? Have you been in the past? Let us know in the comments!
