One of the best things about the holiday season is scoping out beautiful holiday lights. It's easy enough to walk around your neighborhood to see all of your neighbors' Christmas creativity on display. But every once in a while, it's fun to truly immerse yourself in this beloved holiday tradition. This year, you can catch some of the best Christmas lights in Minnesota in Saint Paul, and the whole family is going to absolutely love them! The GLOW Holiday Festival is held at CHS Field in downtown Saint Paul.
Formerly held at the State Fairgrounds, this stunning show has more than 1 million holiday lights, and is among the best Christmas light displays in Minnesota.
GLOW has earned quite a reputation, drawing folks from all over the Twin Cities area and further afield.
The main entrance itself seems like something straight out of a movie scene.
The GLOW route passes through many creatively themed sections.
Among them are the Enchanted Forest, Northern Lights, and the Crystal Cove. You’ll also see a wide array of lit-up animals, buildings, mini-eateries, and more. And if you're lucky, you just might see Santa Claus at Santa's Shed, the Reindeer Run, or Shiny Sea Sleigh!
The colors used throughout are simply stunning!
As far as Christmas lights in Minnesota go, folks from far and wide seem to agree that it is definitely one of the best places to get in the holiday spirit.

The GLOW festival typically runs from about the third week in November (opening night is sometime around Thanksgiving), and runs until the first of January.
