Mears State Park is located at 400 W Lowell St in Pentwater.
While it’s not Michigan’s largest state park, it does offer some of the most beautiful scenery and best recreational opportunities. In every season, you’ll have a blast here.
The park features 50 acres of open space and stunning frontage along Lake Michigan, so it’s easy to see why guests flock here during the summer. In the winter, though, the fun continues.
When snowy weather makes an appearance, visitors can hike or snowshoe along an interpretive trail that winds along a sand dune known as Old Baldy. The scenery is second to none.
If you’d like to extend your visit, you’ll be happy to learn that there’s a charming cabin available to rent all year long. Known as the Dune Grass Villa, this spot will capture your heart.
The villa sits just a stone’s throw away from Old Baldy itself, so there’s natural splendor just outside your door when you book a stay here. The cabin can sleep up to eight guests.
After a day of walking along the frozen shore, cross-country skiing, or ice fishing, it’s tough to imagine a more wonderful spot to unwind. This is winter adventuring at its best.
When you’re in the mood to enjoy a cold-weather getaway right here in Michigan, look no further than Mears State Park. Memories and magic await around every snow bend.
