While the arrival of winter brings plenty of challenges here in Michigan, it also offers the chance for all sorts of outdoor fun and adventure. There’s no shortage of excitement available to those who love to explore when temperatures drop, and one Great Lakes State destination is perfect for families on the hunt for a grand outing. Bundle up and prepare to have a blast.
Timberlee Hills is located at 10484 S Timberlee Dr in Traverse City.
If you and your family love zipping and zooming down snowy hillsides, there’s no better option. In fact, Timberlee Hills is the state’s largest tubing hill without dedicated lanes.
When snowfall begins to stick around in Northern Michigan, you can start planning your awesome outing. It’s easy to see why countless visitors have made memories here.
The tubing hill typically remains open to eager explorers on Fridays from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Admission rates include tube rental and can be purchased in one or two hour increments. While there’s no official age restriction, tubing is not recommended for children under 4.
As you make your way down the slippery hillside, you’ll be utterly thrilled. After all, it’s nearly impossible not to be filled with childlike glee during a fast-paced tubing ride.
If that weren’t enough, you won’t have to lug your equipment up the hill with no support. Timberlee Hills features a tow rope system that will make your journey seamless.
Whether you’re keen on winter weather or simply in the mood for some seasonal fun, lace up your snow boots and head out to tube your troubles away at Timberlee Hills.
