The Fulton Street Farmers Market can be found at 1145 Fulton Street in Grand Rapids.
The market will open for its summer 2017 season on May 6th and remain open until the weekend before Christmas. It reopens between January and April each year.
This is no ordinary farmer market. Since 1922, West Michiganders have gathered on Fulton Street to bring home all sorts of fresh food and goodies — talk about a long-running event!
With approximately 120 vendors on site, there’s no telling what you’ll find when you arrive at the market. From kale to candy, there’s something here for everyone.
That said, priority is typically given to produce stands at the Fulton Street Farmers Market, and that means you can grab all the ingredients you’ll need for a healthy dinner in one convenient locale.
On rainy days, there’s even a small indoor area where vendors can continue to mingle with customers — and standard booths are covered by a roof, so there’s no need to worry about your market day getting rained out!
While many typical farmers markets are open just once or twice per week, the Fulton Street Farmers Market remains open four days each week during its peak season: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
As you peruse the aisles, you’ll be delighted to find so many friendly faces. Many customers and vendors have forged friendships over the years, and the sense of community at the market is truly magical.
