Tulip Time comes to the rescue in early May depending on when these bright bold flowers start to bloom. Holland Michigan has one of the best tulip festivals we have seen. So, if you find yourself looking for a breath of fresh spring air, plan your Michigan vacation for early spring.
  • Lake Orion Art & Flower Fair, Lake Orion, MI: Just 45 minutes north of Detroit we have the opportunity to enjoy a fun celebration of local art and fresh spring flowers. For over 20 years the Flower & Art Fair has been coming to Lake Orion. It is one of our favorite ways to enjoy the warm spring air while picking up a hanging flower basket or two for our front porch. Enjoy live music, arts and crafts, yummy street food, and perhaps a cool brew or two.
  • Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival, Shepherd, MI: Another indicator that spring is here is when you catch the scent of simmering maple syrup in Isabela County. The Maple Syrup Festival takes place at the end of April when this small community gets together to celebrate spring and the amber elixir that comes from its maple trees.
