Olivia’s Overlook is a pretty spot where you can admire the beauty of Richmond and Stockbridge from a perch that will make you feel like you’re amongst the clouds. Here’s what you need to know.
Olivia’s Overlook is located in the town of Richmond with access through a trailhead in West Stockbridge.
It’s a gorgeous spot that will make you feel like you’re soaring above the clouds.
You can reach the overlook via a quick hike on Charcoal Trail.
The trail is about two miles long and not too strenuous, though there are some rocky bits.
Once you reach the overlook though, you’ll forget all about your sore legs.
The views are perfect any time of year, though many visitors like to use the overlook to take in the first greenery of spring or the changing of the fall leaves.
The overlook has a small seating area where you can relax, or you can spread your own picnic blanket and enjoy a snack among the treetops.
The trailhead parking lot offers space for about twelve cars. Arrive early if you plan of checking out the overlook on a sunny day for parking reasons, though it’s rare for the lot to completely fill.
