Everyone’s favorite comfort food is getting an entire festival to itself. This year in Massachusetts, the Friends of the Templeton Elders are hosting an epic celebration of all things macaroni and cheese. And you’ll definitely want to be there.
This mac and cheese festival is just what it sounds like: a day of feasting on cheesy pasta to your heart’s delight. This year’s event is superhero themed, so come in your coolest crime-fighting garb.
Of course, the main attraction here will be the massive food tent filled with homemade goodness. Featuring rich, gooey cheese and chewy pasta, this dish is to die for. Last year’s mac and cheese participants included King Phillip Restaurant, South Side Grille & Margarita Factory, Smith’s Country Cheese, and JK Crossroads in East Templeton.

There will also be plenty of games and activities to keep everyone entertained, such as tug-o-war battles, superhero games, and touch-a-truck. Grownups will get the chance to participate in Chinese auctions and test their skills at a rock climbing station. Live music will keep things upbeat and additional food vendors will be on hand in case you want to add a little variety to your pasta plate.
The festival will be held at Templton Common on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds will go to finishing the Templeton Senior Community Center in Baldwinville, so you know all that munching is for a good cause.
