I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and I love photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world! Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream.

If you’ve been to Martha’s Vineyard, you may be familiar with the neighborhood of houses that look as though they are straight out of the pages of a storybook. Thoughts of Hansel and Gretel may cross your mind as you walk around and marvel at the candy-colored paint and ornate ornamentation on these whimsical homes. Known as “gingerbread houses,” these intriguing structures were built as part of a Methodist campground in the late 1800s. Today, you can even spend the night in a gingerbread house on Airbnb in Massachusetts. Let’s have a look.
