This Restaurant In Massachusetts Used To Be A Firehouse And You’ll Want To Visit

With so many beautiful, old buildings in Massachusetts, it’s no surprise that some of them have been turned into truly great restaurants. After all, it’s awesome to eat somewhere with history. This old firehouse in Chelsea has be converted to a really cool restaurant, and it’s worth taking a look inside.

One of the coolest restaurants in Massachusetts is actually housed in an old firehouse.

The Chelsea Fire Station has been around since at least 1908. It was homemade for generations of firefighters. Now, it’s a dining destination.

Reminders of the restaurant’s past are everywhere. Fire ladders hang on the walls and shiny fire poles can be seen along the bar.

The massive fire engine doors have been converted to soaring windows, and the exposed brick of the original structure has been left in place.

And of course, the bar stools are painted a glossy fire-engine-red.

In terms of food, the selection is just what you would expect from an casually upscale spot in New England: fresh seafood, great grilled meat, and tremendous flavor.

They serve brunch, lunch and dinner. The menu is packed with hearty sandwiches, filling sides and spicy offerings like Cajun grilled shrimp and spicy tuna steak.

You should try the Seafood Tower here at least once. It comes with lobster tail and claw, oysters, clams, and shrimp.

The house burger is also a real stunner. Try it with a side of piping-hot fries.

The dessert offerings are always changing, but if this toasted marshmallow concoction is anything to go by, you won’t be disappointed.
