In addition to butterflies, beautiful quail birds and koi fish share space in the garden.
Stroll along an enchanting pathway and watch the butterflies as they float through the air, sip from feeders and cling to plants.
Visitors can also watch a 15-minute looping video that teaches you about the life cycle of the butterfly and plenty of fun facts about how they spend their days in the garden.
The butterflies are quite friendly and may even fly right into your hand or hitch a ride on your shoulder.
The butterfly area is kept at a toasty 80-85 degrees for the comfort of the butterflies, so feel free to wear your most colorful summer attire. Of course, there is air-conditioning in all other areas.
You can check out butterfly eggs, caterpillars, cocoons and chrysalides up close.
Staff members are always on-hand to answer questions or show you specific creatures up close. Of course, if you'd rather just wander the garden in peace, that's okay as well!

Parking at the Butterfly Place is free, and there are plenty of spots available. There's also an outdoor picnic area where you can have lunch, as well as nearby spots to stop for coffee, food or ice cream.
The Butterfly Place is open seven days a week from February 14 to Columbus Day, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $12.50 for adults, $10.50 for seniors and $8.50 for children. Kids under two are free. Your ticket is good for the entire day, so you can come and go as you please.
