The Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, offers stunning views of fall foliage and seasonal blooms.

Fall is upon us which means it's time to leave our homes and go leaf-peeping! What better place to view the fall foliage than to head to the western part of the state? Massachusetts' fall colors are absolutely aglow this time of year and one of the best places to see the foliage is from a walk across the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls.

Once a trolley bridge that connected the towns of Buckland and Shelburne over the Deerfield River, it was eventually turned into a pedestrian footbridge adorned with flowers.

The Bridge of Flowers, as it became known, is open to foot traffic from April through October. You'll find plenty of gorgeous blooms starting in the spring. But it's also quite a wonderful bridge to take a walk upon in the fall.

When you take a walk across The Bridge of Flowers in the fall, you'll be able to see the variety of seasonal flowers in bloom. Among the blooms during the month of October are asters, dahlias, clematis, and roses, just to name a few.

But one of the best parts about being here during the fall is the jaw-dropping view of fall colors. You'll be able to see the surrounding hills all ablaze in hues of crimson, orange, and gold.

If you bring a camera, you probably won't be able to put it down. You'll want to take as many photos as you can while you're here.

The Mohawk Trail also goes through Shelburne Falls, so after stopping at The Bridge of Flowers, you can continue your journey and head into the Berkshires to view even more fall foliage.
