Located in in the town of Brimfield in central Massachusetts, this is an antique show like no other on earth.
The Brimfield Antique Market is held three times a year in May, July and September. And this show anything but a small production. Thousands of dealers and exhibitors set up shop during the market.
This epic show began in the 1950s and became the largest and most famous antiques show in the United States. As the show has grown over the years, the show’s organizers say that it is now the largest in the world.
The market sells everything from the most precious antiques to kitschy "junk", vintage clothing, old jewelry, industrial relics, local art, used home goods and everything in between. The market itself covers an enormous area of land. It runs along Route 20 for over half a mile.
The town of Brimfield is an old colonial community surrounded by apple orchards, horse farms and rolling hills. However, the town explodes with life when an average of 250,000 visitors arrive for the shows each year.
World-class dealers rub shoulders with local mom n’ pop dealers, and the crowd often contains famous musicians and movie stars looking to score an awesome deal. The atmosphere is like that of a carnival, and there are plenty of food trucks and stalls spread throughout the show that serve everything from classic fair foods to delicious entrées.

Wear your walking shoes and slap on some sunscreen if it’s a sunny day, as you’ll want to spend at least an hour or two combing through the incredible variety of antiques and treasures on display. This is an event that can easily take up your whole day, or you can simply drop by for a peek.
The show is organized by field and while entry to almost all fields is free, some fields do as for a $5-10 admission fee.
