This Fun Tire Park In Maryland Will Remind You Of The Good Old Days
Maryland is full of
fancy playgrounds these days. While the following spot isn’t exactly fancy, it sure is fun. This tire park is a hidden gem that’ll take you back to the good old days. With hundreds of tires formed into different structures, there’s so much fun to be had — especially if you have a great imagination. Let’s go!
Head to Catonsville, Maryland to find The Tire Park. It's located in the Hilton Area at Patapsco Valley State Park.
While there's a classic playground here with a slide, bridge, and more...
...it's the Tire Park that's the true gem of this place. It was built in 1994 out of recycled tires and is still as fun as ever.
The Tire Park portion of the area covers 2-acres. There are numerous structures to hop across...
...and swing on.
Let your imagination run wild when playing on (and in) these tire sculptures. Could this be a castle or a ship? You decide!
According to the official website, The Tire Park is best suited for children 5-12 years of age, but adults seem to love this place, too.
There's something nostalgic about a playground without all of the bells and whistles. It's nice knowing that with all of the upgraded amenities and technological advances of today, our little ones can still enjoy the simple things.
Next time you've got a free day, consider heading to this unique playground in the Old Line State. Old fashioned fun awaits!
Address: 1101 Hilton Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228
