If so, you may want to mark your calendar for the following glowing pumpkin trail in Maryland. This family-friendly event is happening the weekend before Halloween and it's the perfect way to get into the spooky spirit.
Pemberton Park is located in Salisbury, Maryland. This unique attraction is full of history, and that's only the beginning.
Along with its historic house museum, this spot also includes a whopping 262-acres of conservation area.
Year-round, you can explore the 4.5 miles of nature trails, including winding boardwalks. The park also offers fun events and the following festivities are not to be missed...
On October 26, 2018, the fourth annual Pumpkin Tour will take place.
Anybody can submit a jack-o'-lantern creation to this one-of-a-kind trail.
Ready to explore?
Because yearly submissions are ever-changing, you can always expect to see something new along the Pumpkin Tour.
Submissions range from intricate carvings...
...to whimsical creatures...
...and full-on scenes that are straight out of a horror flick.
Prizes are awarded for several categories, including best overall pumpkin, spookiest pumpkin, and more.
Admission is $10 per car and that also includes free candy, games, and hot cocoa.
Guests are encouraged to bring a flashlight, and an open mind.
Since Halloween (sadly) falls on a Wednesday this year, we think this is the perfect way to kick off Halloween week! Bring the kids, grab a flashlight, and keep your eyes peeled for all of the creative jack-o'-lanterns that await.
