Restaurants are plentiful in Maryland and some of the best eateries are in the most unexpected places. Check out the following spot that's in the middle of a rural area, but its flavors are far from simple.
Nonna Maria's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant is located along Route 213. This stretch of road runs through eastern Maryland, offering farmland views for miles.
After driving past dozens of sprawling fields, this restaurant seems to pop-up out of nowhere.
If it weren't for the neon signs, you may even think this place is a barn.
Step inside and have a seat to see what all the fuss is about.
Of course, this pizzeria serves perfectly made pizza, including the pictured four cheese variety.
But what folks go absolutely crazy for is the homemade cream of crab soup. Look at those lumps of meat!
Be sure to also check out the pasta dishes which are full of flavor.
Have an event coming up? You can rent out the private room for a delicious party located in an unforgettable setting.
