City life is great, but sometimes it's nice to escape the hustle and bustle. If you love camping, then you'll want to check out the following spot. It offers so much, including woodland campsites, an impressive waterfall, and more! See you there. :-)
Cunningham Falls State Park is located just over an hour away from Baltimore. Trust me, the drive is worth it.
Reserve a campsite in advance and enjoy a weekend among nature. This is the perfect way to de-stress and refresh.
After a night of sleeping under the stars, awake and take to the trails. The park offers several paths, but there's only one route you'll want to take...
Cunningham Falls is located at this state park and it's a wondrous sight to behold. At 78 feet, this natural wonder is Maryland's highest waterfall. Folks gather here to watch the water flow down the rock formations, making for a beautiful and peaceful experience.
The other attraction this park is known for is the lake beach. You can partake in a swim during summertime...
...or simply visit during fall to witness all of the spectacular fall foliage.
And don't count out winter. Brave the cold this time of year and you'll be treated to frozen falls and will most likely have the place to yourself.
