We've discussed places all around Baltimore, from indoors to outdoors. Today we're featuring the city's top outdoor attraction that people travel from all over just to see. If you've never visited this spot or if it's been a while, consider adding this place to your 2018 bucket list. It's perfect for a day trip that all ages can enjoy.
The Maryland Zoo is located in Baltimore's Druid Hill Park. Admission prices can be found by clicking here, although right now it's only $10 through February 28th (use code WINTER).
There are hundreds of animals at the Maryland zoo, from giant elephants...
...to exotic big cats...
...and all sorts of colorful birds.
The exhibits are also fascinating and plentiful. A favorite among visitors is the penguin habitat, where dozens of penguins play, swim, and splash around.
Another must-see spot is the giraffe area. Not only is it amazing to see these tall creatures up close, but you can also get the opportunity to feed them as well.
Many of the exhibits are interactive and perfect for little ones to climb and run around.
My favorite thing about the Maryland Zoo is how nostalgic it is for many locals. This place has been around for decades and still retains some of its oldest features, signs, and exhibits. You'll likely still recognize spots from when you first visited years ago.
Last but not least, don't forget to check out the zoo's events page. Year-round, there are a variety of events and festivals that are full of fun.
No matter what time of year you visit The Maryland Zoo, you're sure to have a good time. This impressive attraction gets better with age and we always look forward to a great day here.
