You might be familiar with the Damariscotta River, which encompasses more than 100 square miles.

You may ALSO know that it's one of the best places to get oysters in Maine. In fact, this has been true for so long that large piles (some 30 feet deep!) of old oyster shells have been found in the area carbon-dated to 2,200 years old!
While the Damariscotta comes with lots of interesting nature facts, today we want to tell you about one of the best ways to explore it!
