There's no shortage of ways to enjoy the spring and summer here in Maine. Whether you like the water or getting lost in the woods, there's an adventure out there for everyone! Sometimes, though, it's nice to have all the fun be in one place. At this fun park in Bangor, you'll find something for the whole family. The hardest thing about visiting will be fitting everyone into one day.
Welcome to BlackBeard's USA in Bangor! From the outside this fun spot might just look like any other Maine activity center, but inside it feels like you've stepped into another world.
They might be best known for their absolutely epic mini-golf course!
The 36 holes are designed to look like a tropical oasis. You'll love the green palms trees and the blue water traps. Some folks say this is the most challenge course in all of New England.
Plus, there's a fun pirate theme that runs throughout the park.
In addition to the sprawling mini-golf course you'll also find go-karts which can be ridden day and night. Riders will enjoy is a 1/4-mile, high-banked track with 3 major 'S' turns. And they're the fastest you'll find on the entire east coast.
There's also a 10-cage batting cage facility with both fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball machines. If you're more of baseball person they've got pitching speeds that go from 20 to 90 mph!
For rainy days, there's a great arcade with cafe.
In addition to all the amusements here, there's a good chance you'll come across a live performance during the summer as well.
This place is a great find for families that have folks of all different ages. If you want a one-stop fun shop, this is it!
Blackbeard's is typically open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hours are different in the spring and fall, so be sure to check first before arriving.
