You’ll Want To Try The Burgers At This Charming Converted Church In Maine As Soon As Possible
As most food lovers in Maine will tell you, eating out in Vacationland can feel like heaven. But, few restaurants are quite as much of a holy experience as this one! This converted church in Portland has been delighting guests since 2009. Visitors will find beauty not only in the concept, but also inside and outside the building. While we can’t actually force you to make the trip, we can try to convince you to give it a try using these photos. Check ’em out and then make yourself a reservation!
Locals in Portland know what these shiny, red doors mean.
The design of the building was kept as intact as possible and today, diners will see the original pews in the downstairs seating area, the pulpit as the host stand, and the coal chutes which are now wine cellars.
The inside is vast, with beautiful details including the incorporation of the stained glass window design into the logo and the cover to the beautiful round bar area.
But, the real reason we sit here is the famous Grace Burger, which is packed with cheddar, tomato confit and pickled onions with a price tag of only $6.
Here’s another church in Maine. While beautiful and located in a stunning waterfront locale, you won’t actually be able to enjoy happy hour at THIS chapel!
