There's a lovely little stretch of time between March and July when the weather just calls for you to be outside. Sure, August tends to be rather brutal, but for now... let's check out some of these waterfront rentals in Louisiana where you can sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of a waterfront getaway. All of these Airbnbs are located right on the water and come with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
1. Cabin in New Iberia
For a relaxing week of outdoor adventure, you can’t go wrong with this waterfront cabin in New Iberia. Overlooking Bayou Jack, the two-bedroom rental has five beds, two bathrooms, and can sleep up to eight guests. There’s a washer and dryer in the cabin, so you can keep your packing to a minimum. This Airbnb is only 20 minutes from Avery Island, Rip Van Winkle Gardens, and one of my favorite state parks in Louisiana, Cypremort Point State Park.
2. Million Dollar Views in Morgan City
Some places take full advantage of the view, and this Airbnb in Morgan City is one of them. Located just outside the levee wall, this unique rental has received a new life after being converted from a seafood processing facility. There are three bedrooms with five beds total and 2.5 bathrooms. Overall, this Airbnb can sleep up to eight guests, so bring the whole squad. The views from the porch and living room are just dreamy, and there’s even a pool table! Check out some of our favorite things to do in Morgan City to prep for your trip.
3. Theriot Retreat in Terrebonne Parish
This Airbnb in Terrebonne Parish is a fisherman’s paradise, so be sure to bring the tackle box along for the fun. The 3,000-square-foot rental boasts three bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a shuffleboard table, arcade games, outdoor swings, and so much more. There’s space for up to four boats to dock, and you’ll even have your private fishing pier. Speaking of fishing, this rental has direct Gulf access, offering anglers the option to do both freshwater and saltwater fishing.
4. Deno’s Den in Chauvin
Out of all of the waterfront rentals in Louisiana, few can compare to this houseboat in Chauvin. You can’t get much closer to the water than this, right? The houseboat has two bedrooms with four beds, one bathroom, and some of the best sunrises and sunsets imaginable. Bring your fishing gear, because the saltwater fishing here is some of the best in the country!
5. Lake House in Jonesboro
You’ll have a hard time leaving this beautiful lake house in Jonesboro, that’s for sure! Located on the south side of Caney Lake, guests can enjoy all sorts of aquatic fun on the lake like tubing, waterskiing, and also fishing. The owners have done an incredible job of taking advantage of the lakefront property, and the private deck is just delightful. There’s a boat slip waiting for you, plus endless games, a fire pit, and so much outdoor seating that you could sit in a new area every day.
