This zipline tour has to be one of the most unique experiences in Louisiana.
Zip NOLA is one of the newest attractions in Louisiana, and they’re already reaching new heights.
The adventure park just outside of New Orleans opened in 2022 and offers one of the most unique tours in Louisiana-- a chance to soar over the swamps zip line-style!
There are five zip lines, two suspension bridges, and plenty of gorgeous views of the surrounding Maurepas Swamp to enjoy.
The minimum weight to participate is 45 pounds and the maximum is 280. Those who wish to participate in the zip lining experience must be able to climb stairs and be in moderate physical health. Closed-toe shoes are required, and crocs (even in sport mode) do not count. You wouldn’t want to lose a shoe to the swamps!
All of your safety equipment is provided and that includes a helmet, a harness, and a safety briefing.
Don’t worry, a knowledgeable guide will be with you every step of the way on your 1-1.5-hour guided swamp zip line tour. Speaking of helmets, they do have helmets with a go-pro mount, just ask for one when you arrive.
You’ll begin the zip line from the top of the 60-foot starting platform.
From there, you’ll traverse nearly half a mile of zip lines throughout the park.
There are plenty of viewing areas to watch and cheer the zip liners from.
Even from the deck, you’ll still have some spectacular views.
There’s plenty of wildlife in the area, and you never know what you’ll see during your visit! Whitetail deer are a frequent sighting, as well as alligators, turtles, snakes, egrets, and even wild boars!
