Sandwiches just seem to always taste better when they’re served at a restaurant, right? They’re a quick and easy meal-on-the-go and the possibilities are endless when it comes to what you prefer on yours. There’s one little sandwich shop in New Orleans that’s been making waves ever since it opened and you need to check it out.
Mason Hereford and Lauren Holton opened the restaurant in 2016.
This little sandwich shop is known for its unique, inventive sandwiches and quirky atmosphere. Their menu evokes a sense of nostalgia that'll take you back to your childhood. They take classic dishes you probably grew up eating, and put a new spin on them.
Leighann’s bologna, hot English mustard, shredded lettuce, mayo, American cheese and then topped with a heaping amount of potato chips on white bread. It’s like a kicked up version of your childhood staple sandwich.
Slow-cooked collard greens, swiss cheese, coleslaw, pickled cherry pepper dressing on rye bread. Yum!
Even their salads are like tiny mountains. Pictured above is their cabbage salad with sunflower seeds, herbs, fried garlic, pig ear cracklin, lime, and a roasted chili vinaigrette.
