New Orleans, in many ways, is the perfect place to go thrift store shopping. There’s a seemingly infinite supply of eccentric characters in this town, many of whom are amazing collectors of unique things. Meaning? There’s some must-see flea markets as well as thrift stores in New Orleans worth checking out. Here are our favorites.

A shop that supports a good cause, Bloomin' Deals is a great spot if you're looking for affordable work clothes.

Somewhere on the spectrum between a thrift store and a junk shop, there are certainly some gems here that will reward the curious shopper.

This large furniture warehouse has some incredible deals on both furniture staples and unique finds. The bed hardware here is a great price.

This is a newer shop on the scene that has built a reputation for great vintage clothing finds and vinyl records.

Originally found on Carrollton Ave. in the shopping center where the Nike Store is found today, Thrift City USA is a place where digging is absolutely necessary—but in my experience, well worth the patience.

Exploring here could be likened to having access to an old relative's attic, with items as disparate as an astronaut's helmet to vintage costume jewelry.

This historic market at the Marigny end of the French Quarter is home to a wide variety of food vendors, tourist souvenirs, and fascinating craftsmen. There's always something that catches my eye when I visit here.

This unique flea market in the New Orleans area is known for having awesome papusas salvadoreanas as well as common urban flea market fare like phone accessories and blu-ray dvds. Only on the weekends!
