This Historic B&B Near New Orleans Is Perfect For A Relaxing Weekend And Some Truly Amazing Meals
Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the city and spend some time relaxing and recharging. This historic B&B near New Orleans is just a short drive away, and it’s the perfect place for a relaxing weekend.

Their address is 71518 Chestnut St, Covington, Louisiana 70433.

A group of police jurors from the town of Claiborne formed the Claiborne Company in 1819, and were looking for a location for the St. Tammany Courthouse and jail, so they purchased 1,765 acres. Unfortunately, the town of Claiborne didn’t flourish as it was anticipated, so the courthouse was abandoned and eventually Covington became the parish seat. The 1,765 acres were divided up and sold, and Colonel Thomas Sully purchased a 24-acre parcel and built the plantation.

The original solid cypress floor is still in the upstairs hallway, and the antique furniture blends in well with the overall atmosphere.

Each room has its own unique style to it, and you’re sure to love any of the rooms you stay in.

A delicious Creole/Cajun-inspired menu that will tantalize your tastebuds.

So even if you can't get away for an entire weekend, you can still take the scenic drive to the Northshore for a truly memorable meal in an unforgettable atmosphere.
