With so many incredible, beautiful lakes in Louisiana, we just couldn't pick our favorites...so we asked our readers on our Only in Louisiana Facebook Page, and boy did they deliver! We polled our readers asking what they thought the most beautiful lake in Louisiana was and we got nearly 200 responses! Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo or posted cherished memories, we loved reading through all of the responses. Without further adieu, and in no particular order, here are some of the most beautiful lakes in Louisiana, according to our readers:

1. Sunrise on Lake Monterey

Thanks to Mindy Champlin-Camp for submitting this sensational sunrise over Lake Monterey. Sunrises like this are worth waking up early, that's for sure!

2. Lake Bruin Sunset

Of course, if you'd rather let the early bird catch the worm and hit the snooze button, the sunsets at Lake Bruin are just dazzling. Thanks to Josh Fett for capturing this serene scene.

3. Toledo Bend

Oh, Toledo Bend, how do we love thee? With two state parks, that's how. Brandi Jo Loetscher captured this magical moment and we can't stop looking at it.

4. Tew Lake, Catahoula Parish

This little fishing hole near Jonesville is one of those places you could just sit and watch the water forever. We hope you enjoyed taking this shot as much as we loved looking at it, Vincent Fouchi Jr.

5. Lake Pontchartrain

There were many submissions for Lake Pontchartrain, it is, after all, the largest natural lake in Louisiana. Eric McVicker captured this peaceful moment and it's just breathtaking, don't you think?

6. Lake Chicot

We love Lake Chicot, and many of our readers do too! This was another lake in Louisiana that had multiple submissions. Thank you to Jennifer Newman for capturing this lovely scene.

7. Lake Ramsey

What a beautiful misty scene over Covington's hidden gem! If it's this pretty in the picture, we wonder what Erin Green Burton thought while taking it.

8. Toledo Bend

Yes, Toledo Bend made the list twice. The largest man-made body of water in the south deserves two spots. Thanks to Redena Gassiott-Droddy for submitting this golden glory!

9. Caney Lake

A hot spot for fishing, you can't beat the views at Caney Lake. Stacy Allbritton, this photo is giving us the blues in the best possible way!

10. Flag Lake on BAFB

Located near the Barksdale Air Force Base, you may have never heard of Flag Lake. And by the looks of this alligator, he's quite content with having the place all to himself. What a great shot, Jackie Thorley!
