The Washington Old Schoolhouse Is A Two-Story Antique Mall In Louisiana That’s Almost Too Good To Be True

Are you always on the hunt for unique finds and incredible antiques to add to your collection? There’s a very special antique mall in Louisiana that’s worth the extra effort to get there, and you’re going to be amazed at all the treasures within these walls.

The Washington Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall might just be the most unique antique store in Louisiana.

This 40,000-square-foot antique mall is overflowing with awesome finds.
For starters, the building itself is a bit of an antique!

It used to be Washington High School, which opened back in 1934. All of the classrooms have been filled with antiques galore. You’ll definitely get schoolhouse vibes in every room you turn into, and you’ll be able to catch glimpses of this building’s past life, like the chalkboards seen here.
There are dozens and dozens of vendors in rotation here at the schoolhouse, so there's always something new in stock.

Twice a year, the schoolhouse puts on a fabulous antique fair where hundreds of vendors come out to display their stuff.

It’s a great spot to pick up some locally made jams, jellies, jewelry, and artwork as well as support small businesses! The next antique fair is slated for April 14-16, 2023.

We love seeing buildings get a new lease on life rather than being torn down or abandoned. Not too far away from this schoolhouse is the Kisatchie High School which, unfortunately, did not get a second chance and now is slowly being reclaimed by Mother Nature. The photos are hauntingly beautiful, though!
