You’ll find the Acadian Village nestled in Lafayette, Louisiana.
This one-of-a-kind village tucked away in Cajun Country allows visitors to journey to the past and learn more about what life was like for Acadians in the 19th century.
Established in the 1970s, this enchanting little village sits on 32 acres and includes more than 10 buildings set along a picturesque little bayou for you to explore.
You’ll feel like you’ve been transported through time as you wander through this beautiful little village where time seems to have stood still.
The Acadian Village features several buildings, some of which are authentic to the time period and were moved to their current location. From the Blacksmith Shop to the Doctor’s Museum, each one has a fascinating history to it.
As you stroll through the village, you’ll be able to pop in and out of some of the buildings and catch a glimpse of what life was like for early Acadians.
The village is open for self-guided tours on Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
