Hopefully, we'll be able to get out and take some outdoor adventures this summer, and we've got the perfect spot. If you're planning your summer vacations, be sure to put Grand Isle State Park at the top of the list, the 900-foot boardwalk alone is enough of a reason to visit this magical spot, and the views are absolutely mesmerizing. Let's check it out.
All the way at the “tip of the boot” lies one of the most incredible state parks in Louisiana.
Nestled along the Gulf of Mexico, the beautiful Grand Isle State Park features a nature trail, miles of beautiful beaches, world-class fishing opportunities and it’s also one of the best places for bird watchers to catch a glimpse of the hundreds of migratory birds.
One of the biggest perks to Grand Isle State Park is the 900-foot fishing pier.
This incredible pier is perfect for gazing out at the Gulf.
And, of course, it’s a popular spot to drop a line and do some fishing.
There’s also an observation tower that you can climb up for a outstanding bird’s eye view of the park.
When you’re not strolling up and down the pier, be sure to sink your toes into the sand and keep an eye out for seashells along the way.
You might just find yourself loving the park so much you’d like to make a weekend of it. Go for it! At Grand Isle State Park, you can bring your tent and camp right on the beach.
Which is great, because you’ll have a front row seat to some of the most beautiful sunsets in Louisiana.
Bring the whole family out for a weekend of fun and memories that will last a lifetime.
