The Louisville Free Public Library’s main branch is the biggest library in the state and it’s always staying up to date on exciting and fun technology. In 1905, the first free public library — Louisville Free Public Library — finally opened its doors.

From it's opening until 1910, Marilla Waite Freeman was the Head of Reference, and she later went on to be one of the most-known librarians in the nation. Who knew such history started in Louisville?
