Halloween season is a great excuse to turn a fun outing in Kentucky into something extra festive. The Big South Fork Scenic Railway definitely takes advantage of each season and holiday by offering special excursions that are particularly festive. This Halloween train in Kentucky leaves the station on the 25th and the 26th at 6 p.m. and tickets are still available.

If you're anxious to get that costume out and give it a test run, this is a great opportunity! The ride is appropriate for all ages and everyone is welcome to arrive in costume.
Once all of the ghosts and witches have boarded the train, it will take off through the beautiful scenery of the Big South Fork Area.

There will still be daylight during the beginning of your ride, so be sure to snag a window seat.
The train will make a stop at a restored, historic coal camp, which has been transformed for the holiday.
