Kansans Should Expect Extra Cold And Snow This Winter According To The Farmers Almanac
Winter 2020 is coming up faster than you think, so it’s about time we give some thought to what this winter might look like. Thanks to the Farmers’ Almanac, we’re a little more prepared when it comes to guessing! Are these predictions what you’d think? We sure hope so.
We're all familiar with the yearly posturing about what the winter will hold. Whether we'll see snow, ice, cold, or mild days is always guesswork.
According to the Farmers' Almanac, we're right in the "extra cold with extra snow" area. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the temperamental zone below us affected southern Kansans as well.
Though Kansas is no stranger to cold and super snowy winters, it's good to try and be ahead of the curve with knowledge. Unless we're thrown a curveball like we were in winter 2019, we can be prepared.
We know the Farmers' Almanac isn't always 100% correct, but it never hurts to be prepared. If nothing else, it gives you a reminder that you need an emergency bag in your trunk with a waterproof thermal blanket and other necessities just in case you're stranded.
Do you have any predictions for this year’s winter? Feel free to share any of your thoughts in the comments section! We love to hear how accurate you think the Farmers’ Almanac is, and your guesses for this upcoming snowy season. Someone has to be right sometimes!
