The Natural Swimming Hole At Lake Scott In Kansas Will Take You Back To The Good Ole Days

We don’t know if you’re aware, but did you know Kansas doesn’t have very many natural swimming holes? Thankfully, this great spot is a natural lake fed by a spring, which makes it the perfect swimming hole for any Kansan looking for a great day out in the sun.

Today's wonderful destination is none other than Lake Scott State Park, one of our favorites among many Kansas beauties.

11 Miles north of Scott City, on a scenic byway, this stunning 100 acre natural lake is fed by a local spring.

This gorgeous natural area is a beautiful spring-fed lake filled with swimming, boating, and fishing opportunities.

With all the things to do here, you can easily spend a day or a week just camping out and enjoying the natural beauty of our landscape. Flat, who?

And who wouldn't want to spend a day or even a week here?

While you're here, make sure to visit the multiple historic sites in the vicinity. That includes El Quartelejo ruins, what is left of the northernmost Pueblo.

Trails for days whether you're on foot or horseback, and plenty of outdoor activities make this natural beauty the perfect destination.
