If you're looking for a waterfront trail near Kansas City, Kansas, you'll love the spot we're featuring today! The Cedar Niles West Trail is a peaceful trail in Olathe's Cedar Niles Park. It's paved, meaning it's wheelchair and stroller accessible, and it's pretty flat, making it an easy trek that the entire family can enjoy. Plus, you can't beat the scenery! Check it out:
The entire trail is 6.4 miles, but don't let that length deter you. The paved surface and slight elevation gain means that it's not a hard trek at all for most explorers of moderate fitness levels.
Since it's an out-and-back trail, you can always opt to explore just a short portion of the trail and return to the parking lot if you're not up for the entire adventure.
The trail is open year-round and you can enjoy beautiful scenery no matter what season it is.
One of the best things about the Cedar Niles West Trail is the variety of landscapes you'll pass through. There are plenty of wooded areas.
However, you'll also get to check out some lovely fields.
The trail is wide enough to accommodate bikers and walkers, with plenty of room to spread out.
This feels like such a great escape from the city!
