Spend The Day At This Hot Air Balloon Festival In Kansas For A Uniquely Colorful Experience

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and it's getting pretty warm outside. There's a great week of weather coming up, and we'd love to share it with you by heading down to this amazing hot air balloon festival in small town Kansas. Haven't you ever wanted to ride in one yourself? Let's check it out!

The Sunflower Balloon Fest is from May 11-13, 2018. If your weekend is free - head on down!

In Anthony, Kansas, about an hour away from most of Wichita, you'll find an exciting event happening this next weekend. Hot air balloons will take to the skies Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as long as the weather permits. The festival starts Friday evening, but Saturday is the main event.

Not only will you see balloons during your visit, but there's also plenty more to do here, depending on which day you visit.

Enjoy helicopter rides, tethered hot air balloon rides, a kite festival, powered parachutes like you see above, and a parade.

There's something so majestic about a giant balloon floating through the air, without a care in the world.

Plus, I can't imagine how beautiful it must be to see our state from so high.

Some of the events planned are a little wild, if you're up for something new and exciting.

There's a chainsaw folk artist, an F-4 flight simulator, bungee trampolines, and more. I can't say I've been anywhere else with events like this!

At the end of the night, enjoy fireworks at dusk.
