Where can I find the best burgers in Kansas?
Cozy Inn is a tiny burger joint that’s been around since 1922 in Salina and their burgers are some of the top-rated in America. People come from all over to get some of their flavorful, mouthwatering burgers and you should, too! Prize Package is another tiny, unassuming place with some fantastic burgers and is located in Topeka. Order a burger with a side of funnel cake fries and you will be in heaven!
What are some of the best diners in Kansas?
Diners have long been road trip havens, steeped in nostalgia and great food. There are some great gems to stop at throughout the state, grab a hearty meal, and fill your belly before getting back on the road. If you’ve been to Hutchinson, maybe you’ve eaten at R-B Drive-In Diner, a tiny place that’s been around since 1948. Presumably Kansas’ oldest diner, R-B is known for its massive cheeseburgers that can feed a family of four. Flashbacks Diner is a great stop if you’re driving through Lakin. This diner is a step into the 1950s and the vintage charm from that era. Although you can order outside, spending time inside this restaurant is an absolute delight! Enjoy a fresh lemonade with a good ol’ fashioned hamburger as you sit back and enjoy the ambiance. In Salina is Flapjax Diner with its flavorful dishes and creative twists on your favorite items. Here, you can enjoy a waffle breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon between two waffles instead of bread. Doesn’t that sound delicious?
What are some of the most unique restaurants in Kansas?
Renaissance Cafe in Assaria provides an unforgettable dining experience. The space is as unique as you can find in Kansas with its old-world style and a gym in the middle with books and art lining the walls. The fresh Northern Italian food is even more enjoyable in a space like this. Trail Days Cafe and Museum is another memorable place to dine. Located inside a historic home built in 1861, history and delicious Old World European, American Indian, and Early American dishes are served together. This unusual restaurant is essentially a museum and restaurant all in one!
