Welcome to The Sandbar, a beach-themed bar in Lawrence, Kansas that is a little slice of summer no matter what the weather is like.

The Sandbar was opened by Peach Madl in 1989, inspired by the themes and people of Key West. Since their start, they've been voted the best bar in Lawrence, and definitely lives up to that hype.

Keeping things fun and lighthearted, all of their special house drinks are served with toys, like miniature sharks and necklaces.

Any bar worth their margarita salt has a special drink that really suits the bar, and you'll find that the Shark Attack is what you should order to get to know them from the inside out. Add on a trip through one of their 10pm Indoor Hurricanes and you'll understand their charm completely.

There's no place like The Sandbar, and they're not afraid to let you know that with their charm and Kansas hospitality.

The Sandbar is open from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturdays, and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sundays.
