Spring is almost settled in, and it’s finally time to get out and explore more of our beautiful state. However, today’s destination isn’t all natural, but definitely entertains people of all ages. This amazing place in Kansas is chock full of family fun, and more than worth the travel if you’ve been waiting to check out other places in the area. Most of the farm imitates life in a turn-of-the-century style schoolhouse, farm, and blacksmith.
Of course, there's plenty of space to roam around while you're here.

Beautiful scenery is there to greet you at every corner, as long as you're not too distracted by adorable farm animals.
For an extra price on your entry ticket, you can feed baby goats a bottle of milk, or just use your quarters to feed animals.

Bottle feeding a goat is an experience most kids (or adults) won't forget. Plus, seeing the animals on an old-fashioned farm instead of the zoo is a great change of scenery.

Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, with $2 admission. On Monday through Thursday afternoons, you can get in for free from 3 p.m. to close! The season runs from April 2 until Halloween.

You’ll find Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead at 13800 Switzer Road in Overland Park.
